About the Club:

Welcome to our Web site!

The Evening Optimist Club is an active Civic Club that meets twice a month and manages over 25 community projects every year. We have apx. 45 Active Members on our roster... Every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month, you can find us at: Angels Mexican Restaurant on S. Pike Rd. in Sumter at 6:30pm. Once there, we eat well, have fellowship, and conduct our meeting. There is a guest speaker at most meetings and we wrap up every meeting with the Optimist Creed. It's a great time and we'd love to have you visit to see what the fuss is all about.

Purposes of Optimist International

To develop optimism as a philosophy of life utilizing the tenets of the Optimist Creed; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of ones self in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind, community life and the world.
